Turning custom vehicle builds into orderable Shopify products

Boost Auto Parts sells truck and SUV accessories across categories such as mirrors, running boards, lighting, door handles and vehicle-specific parts. Customers often need several compatible products to complete one build.

We built a custom Shopify experience that lets customers create a vehicle build by selecting and mapping different existing products. The completed configuration is then presented as a separate orderable product on the storefront, so the customer can review the build and purchase it as one package.

The workflow connects the build interface with the existing product catalogue. Product relationships, compatibility rules and selected options stay attached to the configured build, while the resulting order preserves the parts that make up the customer’s selection.
